Biography

My name is Thomas Blackburn i am 23 years old. I was born and raised in Essex, England. When i was 15 years old i was kicked out of the family home, this resulted in me being homeless living anywhere i could get away with, with just a bag of clothes and a sleeping bag. I used music as a coping method as i found an old guitar in a bin outside a music store, i then stated sing for money on the street, this allowed m to make a small amount of money to survive and share my music wit people, i stated sing other artists song but as i grew in ability i started writing my own songs to sing. This got me into a group of other homeless singers who shared ideas, this allowed my confidence to grow. I was then offered to play in a local pub on a high street, this got me a contract were i could play 3 times a week at the pub, after a year i finally managed to afford a one bed apartment close buy, then one night a tour manager for a band who were working for Beggars group came into the pub for meal during a tour. He saw my music and got in touch with a Beggars group music executive he then came to see me play and he liked what he heard so he offered me a chance to perform to a group of music executives, once i performed to them one of them offered me a contract with beggars group which i accepted. I now play in local events, restaurants and private bookings, this has helped me grow my image, so i decided to write a single about a teenager leaving their home as this happens to a lot of people not just me so sharing this song will help spread the awareness that some young people are going through because i was just a lucky guy who got a break in music but others are not so lucky.
